Team Athena

Team Athena was composed of girls, ranging from ninth grade to eleventh grade, for the VEX Robotics at USC. This was the first time that the idea of an all girls team was incorporated in the club. We had our share of difficulties but overcame all of our problems. At the competition Team Athena won two ribbons: one for their gracious professionalism and the other for their best oral presentation.  We qualified for the elimination matches and brought on board the Varsity boys team as our alliance. Through this competition we learned that there will always be obstacles to overcome but if we cooperate and dedicate our minds to our set goal, we can overcome anything.

Team Raptors

Team Raptors was one of the VEX Robotics teams, composed of tenth and ninth graders. They used two transmission located in the center of the robot that made it easy to give full 360° turns. Having this ability made it easy for them to move around the field and to evade any obstacle in their way. They also used 4 roller for each of the robots corners and a VEX Claw for graving what they needed.

Team Predators

The predator robot is composed out of an independent wheel drive system that allows it to move anywhere around its surface area. It is controlled by a sprocket and chain system controlled by a motor. This system gave it the advantage to balance the torque and the speed. Our robot receive 1st place for having the most innovative design of the year.
